About us

It all started with a question…

Hi, my name is Lena, the founder of tripstoSiberia.com. Welcome to my blog! I was born in Yakutsk, in the Asian part of Russia. You have never heard about that place before coming to this blog? Believe me, you are not alone! I have always been a ‘globetrotter’ and have lived in several countries across Europe allowing me to meet people from all over the world.

It is always a surprise to me how it is possible nobody knows about this great place – about the untouched nature, the numerous natural sights, the extreme weather conditions and the cultural richness of my nation. This inspired me to start to start writing about my home.

And so, triptoSiberia.com was born

As have I been posting on my nation many have asked me how to visit Yakutia. This was when tripstoSiberia.com was born! Since then I have organised several travels across entire Yakutia. I would also like to invite you to join me and my team on a journey to one of the world’s last real off the beaten track destinations. Whether you want to experience the unique beauty of untouched nature or you want to immerse yourself in culture, Siberia has it all!

I am a strong believer in the importance of the development of a responsible travelling industry in my nation. Tourism has the potential to alleviate poverty and to broaden and strengthen the region’s economy. Therefore, it my mission to maximize the benefits to local entrepreneurs and to minimize negative social impacts. I am absolutely committed to true sustainability to minimize the environmental footprint of all tours we do.

A strong team

I am connecting adventures from all over the world with Yakut knowing ‘the secret spots’. I work together with selected local partners who do the trips together with myself. This allows to enhance the regional wealth creation which is an important part of my mission. I am only working with proven partners who love to show our region to foreigners the same as I do. When travelling you will find out that visitors are welcomed warmly. In fact, one of the most important traditions of the indigenous nations of Russia’s Far East is hospitality. We follow this tradition. The trips are planned according to your individual wishes and interests so that you will leave with a lifetime of great memories.
